Rahasya is one of 2 films
that in 2014-2015 has been made about the in India very famous Aarushi
Talwar double
murder case in 2008 where a young girl was found murdered at home in
her bed with her throat cut, and close by
also the servant Hemraj. The Case it's known as The Noida Double Murder
Case and it took place near Delhi.
The "Other" film about this famous murder case is Talvar,
but this Rahasya takes some liberties and add some murders
to the pot and tells a slightly different story. Even though this, the
relatives to Aarushi Talwar tried to stop the film
Rahasya due to similarities and the Court decided the film could be
shown first in January 2016.
Also Talvar is Very Good and also has a Bollywood Super Actor in it,
the amazing Irrfan Khan.
The Story of Rahasya:
The Mahayan Family, that's Doctor Sachin (Ashish Vidyarthi)
and his surgeon wife, Aarti (Tisca Chopra) and their
teenage daughter Ayesha (Sakshi Sem), the latter mostly seen dead with
the exception of some flashbacks.
One morning the family's servant Remi (Ashwini Kalsekar) find Ayesha
dead in her bed with her throat cut and
first the male servant Chetan, who has disappeared, is suspected, but
is later found dead with his throat cut in some
locked room in the vicinities. A neighbour boy Riyaz (Kunal Sharma)
is suspected as he's been seen with blood on
his clothes and then disappeared but finally the police arrest the father
Dr. Sachin for a suspected honor killing

And now the CBI (The Central Bureau of Investigation)
steps in to re-do the CSI work, and what's the difference
really between CID (The Crime Investigation Department) and CBI, i don't
know ? In the other Talwar film Irrfan
Khan is a CID inspector. But here CBI man Sunil Paraskar is played by
Kay Kay Menon (see pic above) and
Kay Kay, he's one of the King Actors in Bollywood film, one of the Great
ones (with Irrfan, Nawazuddin, Nasee-
ruddin etc.) and he's eating walnuts (good for the brain) and he's sleuthing
and sniffing around like a bloodhound
Who Dunnit ?
This film starts out depicting the Talwar murder case
just like the Talvar film, but then stretch out the story with
some gruesome murders and the bodies are piling up. It plays out more
like a Who Dunnit Murder Mystery
and almost everyone in the film has got a motive. As maybe
the neighbours, the Chhabria's, with the surgeon
Doctor Hansal (MJ Bikramjeet Kanwarpal) and his unfaithfully horny and
hot wife Brinda (Mita Vashist).
It's very entertaining, murders en masse, well made with great acting
and nice visuals from Faroukh Mistry's
camera. anamorphic widescreen, hindi 5.1 or 2.0 audio, 2 hours 4 minutes.
Extra: Director's note, storyboards and press articles about the real
Aarushi Talwar murder case.
Director Gupta once wrote the script to crime drama Sarkar and this
was his 4th directed film, and he also
used Kay Kay Menon in his The Stoneman Murders (which i haven't seen,
but it's supposed to be good)
