Murder Mystery crime thriller about a hunt for the kidnapper
and killer of a little girl and with her grandfather
still hoping for news in the case 8 years later. The legendary Old Man
of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan (in
his 70's by now) recently has made 2 films where an old man makes a
final effort in doing something worthy.
In Pink he once again enters the Court for a final case helping a trio
of unjustly harassed girls, and in this oddly
named film (i've no idea what the title means, TE3N?) he's getting tired
of the police's sloppy work and starts
looking for clues himself in the case of the abduction and killing of
his granddaughter Angela in October 2007.
Every day for the last 8 years the old man has turned
up at the police station, waiting patiently for some news
in the case, for some breakthrough in the investigation. By chance he
notices a little girl wearing the same piece
of clothing as Angela, and in fact it's the same as his wife knitted
it. At last, a new lead and something to follow,
which he does with the help of a priest, father Martin (Nawazuddin Siddiqui),
the ex-policeman that was the
investigating officer in the Angela kidnapping 8 years earlier.
And then, the kidnapper-killer strikes again and another child is abducted,
and inspector Sarita (Vidya Balan)
manages the case this time. Will she fail in the same way as Martin
did in 2007?
